Walking a spiritual path takes commitment, courage, and discipline. In a culture that worships the materialistic, pursuing a path of spirit can be at times isolating and frustrating. Spiritual circles offer mutual support as we connect through ritual, meditation, movement, dialogue, story, song, and creative activities like drawing or writing.
In a spiritual circle the energy that connects us becomes tangible, providing guidance, healing and support at a very deep level. Each circle is a journey that leads to an unknown place. Taking the risk to show up and greet the uncertainty with our full presence is life-affirming; participants find that the circles lead them to new insights, inspiration, and greater clarity in their lives.
Spirit Journey, an ongoing monthly circle group, meets once each month in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Pre-registration is required. At our upcoming session on February 25, from 2:00-4:30pm, we’ll focus on laughter and money: two things you may rarely think of in combination with each other! Jan Andrew (see bio below) will lead a laughter meditation focusing on the benefits of laughter and meditation for health. And Julia Fitzgerald will help us examine our beliefs about money and explore if they are actually true. “Our financial lives need not be difficult or painful if we can approach them from the deepest and truest place in us,” says Julia. “Can you envision a relationship with money full of peace, freedom, ease, and joy? Let’s explore the possibility.”
$25 for SpiritJourney members purchasing a series of six sessions; $30 single session. Sliding scale is available in cases of financial hardship. Contact Lauren at 917-902-4649 or laurentepper@hotmail.com to sign up or for more information.
Lauren’s facilitation of the two circles I’ve attended was breathtaking, spellbinding. She taught so wisely & enjoyably, and helped us create a safe and magic space – both out in a wooded glade as we ushered in autumn, and in an evocative & cozy indoor place to welcome winter.

Lauren created a magical setting for connecting with nature and the healing elements of spring in her Spring Spirit Circle. Her facilitation combined movement, meditation and shared observations, giving a group of strangers an instant bond and eliciting a joyous celebration and amazing inner journeys for all.
--Jan, Brooklyn
Lauren is doing in life what she was meant to do. She has an amazing aura and life energy that is a joy to behold. With her words and energy she forms a circle of strangers who share a like minded spirit. With her guidance we go inward to our true nature. I left the circle energized and serene with some new friends whose paths I'm sure I will cross again. I celebrate having Lauren in my life."
